[ And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you. That whatsoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith ( Mark 11:22-23 ]

The phrase “this mountain” as used by Jesus refers to that particular mountain in full glare of Jesus and his disciples. It is possible he pointed to the mountain and said : You see this mountain before you, if you speak to it in faith, it shall move to yonder place.

Which mountain was Jesus talking about ?  In context , he was referring to the Mount of Olives (Mark 11:1). Jesus was saying that if they have faith as little as the grain of mustard they will speak to the Mount of Olives and it shall move to yonder place.

[ The Mount of Olives is 2680 ft  above sea level and 200 ft higher than the temple area in Jerusalem ]

We can see how massive this mass of sand and stone was; huge and imposing, but all that is needed for it to skip is not praying to God but speaking to the mountain in faith. All of God’s creation has ear to ear and if you can address your mountain, calling it by its name in faith, the mountain must move. A mountain may mean an incurable disease, a long standing problem of unimaginable dimension, but the words of faith directed to it will cause it to flee like Jordan did before Israel.

The Mount of Olives was a great mountain just as Goliath was a great mountain before David. The Mount of Olives was 2680 ft above sea level just as Goliath was six cubits and a span tall. A cubit is 1.5 ft while a span about half a cubit, meaning Goliath is roughly 10 feet high. David did not begin a prayer vigil to God to bring down Goliath, all he did was to speak to this mountain.

[ Then said David to the Philistine, thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee and take away thine head from thee (1Sam 17: 45-46).

David addressed his mountain, he addressed Goliath, he spoke to Goliath, he told him he will cut his head and that was happened. David had no sword while he spoke to the mountain but the head of Goliath was cut with his own sword. Speak to your mountain and it will skip like rams.

The children of Israel came face to face with the Red sea. It was a mountain, a seemingly unsurmontable problem, but what happened ? Moses was praying to God and God told him to shut up; Why are you crying to me? Stretch your rod to the Red sea and it must divide ( Exo 14:15-28).

You have the name of Jesus bequeathed to you in Christ, command your mountain to scatter in the name of Jesus and it shall be so. The Mount of Olives was 2680ft above sea level, Goliath was 6 cubits and a span tall and the Red sea was 190miles in width, 9580ft deep,  but as the rod of Moses was spread over it, the sea divided asunder. That problem no matter how big it is must give way as you speak to it in faith. Speak to that migraine, to that epilepsy in the name of the Lord and it shall die.

[ And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, saying, Lord save us: we perish.

[ And he saith unto them, why are ye so fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm ( Mathew 8:24-26 ]

Mathew called it a great tempest while Mark called it a great storm. Mark says the ship was full of water and all that Jesus did was to speak to the winds. He rebuked the winds and the waves and they obeyed him.

Address your problems by name and it shall flee [ Who art thou O great mountain ? before Zerubbabel thou shall become a plain (Zech 4:7 ]
